The Virginia-based company recently signed an agreement to operate in Legacy Town Center III on Tennyson Parkway. The sublease was negotiated by JLL.

“Establishing a new office in Texas was crucial to our strategic plan.”

Renewable energy projects, public and private land work, and other civil engineering needs, will be the new office’s core services. The Plano team will be led by Robert Gonzalez and eventually include 17 employees by the end of 2018, according to a release.

“Establishing a new office in Texas was crucial to our strategic plan,” said Chris Dodson, principal and director of field operations for the Timmons Group, in a statement. “Our renewable energy and GIS projects are increasing exponentially throughout the southwest, and this new office positions us to better accommodate our growing client base and add the region’s top engineers to our firm.”

Timmons Group has previously worked with the Texas A&M Forest Service to develop the Texas Wildfire Risk Assessment Portal, which makes wildfire risk information and planning tools available to the public. The firm also has completed projects for Texas state agencies, local governments, and a number of schools and universities across the country.
