Air purification methodology and apparatus
Patent No. 10478767

Inventor(s): Yi Fang (Dallas, TX)
Assignee(s): UNASSIGNED
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 15436744 on 02/17/2017 (1005 days app to issue)

Abstract: A method of air purification and apparatus uses thorough air-bath to trap airborne debris and gaseous molecules in the liquid. Incoming air are reduced repeatedly and thoroughly at various stages into tiny air bubbles in contact with liquid in the apparatus where airborne materials and gaseous molecules are trapped in the liquid. This cleaning system can effectively remove small or large airborne debris and gaseous molecules, in contrast to cleaning effectiveness limited by the filter pore sizes in traditional filter system. The liquid can be water, water mixed with any designed substances or other type of liquid phase of materials. The CSS is shaped to engage/receive RPE deployed into the wellbore casing. The engaged/seated RPE isolates heel ward and toe ward fluid communication of the RSM to create a fracture zone. The RPE”s are removed or left behind prior to initiating well production without the need for a milling procedure. A large ID RSM diminishes flow constriction during oil production.

Abstract: A system and method for fracturing multiple zones along a length of a wellbore during a single run are provided. A single mechanical shifter device may be lowered on coiled tubing to shift open multiple sleeve assemblies set along the wellbore to expose different fracture zones for desired fracturing treatments. The sleeve assemblies may each include a shifting sleeve designed for engagement with the mechanical shifter device. The mechanical shifter device may move the shifting sleeve along the wellbore to collapse a baffle component of the sleeve assembly. Once the baffle is collapsed, an isolation component of the shifter device may engage the collapsed baffle to form a plug through the wellbore. Pressure applied from the surface may push the baffle and a sliding sleeve of the sleeve assembly downward, thereby exposing fracturing ports through the casing of the wellbore. Fracturing applications may then be performed through the ports.

Abstract: A vehicle can be configured to provide coasting coach support when approaching a learned deceleration area, advising on how to more efficiently operate the vehicle as it approaches the learned deceleration area. An indicator can be presented within the vehicle to inform the driver that coasting coach support is provided for the learned deceleration area. However, in certain situations, it may not be possible for a vehicle to provide coasting coach support for a learned deceleration area, such as may occur when the vehicle encounters two consecutive learned deceleration areas located in close proximity to each other. There may not be sufficient time to provide coasting coach support for the second of the two consecutive learned deceleration areas. In such instances, the vehicle can be configured to present the coasting coach indicator for the first deceleration area and to disable the coasting coach indicator for the second deceleration area.

Law Firm: Baker Botts L.L.P. (Local + 8 other metros)
Application No., Date, Speed: 15927837 on 03/21/2018 (608 days app to issue)

Abstract: In one embodiment, a vehicle mirror includes an on-board diagnostics (OBD) transceiver and one or more processors. The processors access OBD data received by the OBD transceiver from an OBD port of a vehicle. The processors further monitor the OBD data to determine whether communications with the OBD port have been lost, determine an OBD speed of the vehicle, and determine an RPM of an engine of the vehicle. The processors further determine a GPS speed of the vehicle from a GPS transceiver. When communications with the OBD port are lost, the processors transition the vehicle mirror to a sleep power state. When communications with the OBD port have not been lost, the processors transition the vehicle mirror to the sleep power state when the OBD speed is determined to be zero for at least a first predetermined amount of time and the RPM of the engine is determined to be less than a threshold RPM amount.

Abstract: Methods and systems that may employ adjustments to the latencies in the input circuitry to reduce the latency during initialization period and to prevent undesired effects from metastability are provided. Disclosed systems may employ adjustable delays during a signal training process to cause adjustments in the timing of the host that will reduce latencies during write cycles. Certain systems may further reduce latencies by employing input logic circuitry that produces a valid, consistent signal from the bidirectional connection, such as a gate, and preventing metastability in input circuitry altogether. Such circuitry allows bypassing of initialization periods to stabilize the input, and allows further reduction of the initialization.

Preventing refresh of voltages of dummy memory cells to reduce threshold voltage downshift for select gate transistors
Patent No. 10482981

Inventor(s): Ching-Huang Lu (Fremont, CA), Vinh Diep (San Jose, CA)
Assignee(s): SanDisk Technologies LLC (Addison, TX)
Law Firm: Vierra Magen Marcus LLP (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 15900093 on 02/20/2018 (637 days app to issue)

Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for reducing charge loss in a select gate transistor in a memory device. In one aspect, a refresh operation is performed repeatedly to couple up data word line voltages but not dummy word line voltages. The refresh operation can involve applying a voltage pulse to the data word lines of a block when the block is not being used for a storage operation such as a program, read or erase operation. When the voltage pulse is applied to the data word lines, the dummy word lines can be set to a low level such as 0 V. This low level prevents or limits coupling up of the dummy memory cells to avoid creating an electric field which can cause holes to move from the dummy memory cells to adjacent select gate transistors.

Application No., Date, Speed: 15952752 on 04/13/2018 (585 days app to issue)

Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for optimizing a program operation in a memory device. A storage location stores programing data for each word line, such as a program voltage for a set of memory cells. The set of memory cells may be periodically evaluated to determine updated programming setting(s). In one approach, the evaluation involves repeatedly sensing the set of memory cells between a program pulse and a verify signal in a program loop. The word line voltage can be stepped down to an intermediate voltage, then ramped down at a controlled rate while repeatedly sensing the memory cells, such as to detect an upper or lower tail of a threshold voltage distribution. The position of the tail can indicate a degree of over programming and this information can be used to adjust the programming setting(s) in a subsequent program operation.

Transmitter image calibration using phase shift estimation
Patent No. 10484108

Inventor(s): Wael Al-Qaq (Oak Ridge, NC)
Assignee(s): Futurewei Technologies, Inc. (Plano, TX)
Law Firm: Vierra Magen Marcus LLP (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16007241 on 06/13/2018 (524 days app to issue)

Abstract: Techniques are presented to improve the accuracy of and reduce the time required for calibration of an in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) transmission circuit. A measurement receiver measures the I/Q mismatch, where an RF phase shift is introduced to help distinguish between the transmitter and measurement receiver I/Q mismatches. Rather than assuming an amount of introduced phase shift, a measurement is used to estimate the phase shift. This phase estimate is then used to determine and correct the I/Q mismatch in the transmitter and measurement receiver. An iterative process can be used to improve the I/Q correction factors. Using simple signal processing to measure the phase shift during calibration and using it to carry out the image calibration calculations, the phase shifter requirements can be significantly relaxed, resulting in faster design time and reduced design area/cost. This approach results in reduced calibration time, thus contributing to reduced factory production time and enabling faster live mode image calibration.

Based on the detected energy meeting the collision threshold, the method includes determining that there is a transmission collision.
