Multilayer dressing device and method for preventing and treating pressure ulcers and chronic wounds
Patent No. 10751212
Inventor(s): Ahmed Masud Choudri (Dallas, TX), Maryam Raza (Dallas, TX)
Assignee(s): UNASSIGNED
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 15731541 on 06/26/2017 (1156 days app to issue)
Abstract: The present invention provides a device and method for preventing or curing pressure ulcers or chronic wounds. A multilayer dressing comprises a soft silicone jell layer of a suitable thickness which is placed in the multilayer dressing, above an absorbent layer. The matrix of the silicone jell layer is populated with a plurality of silicone beads of suitable size. The beads are connected to each other, and to the silicone jell layer. Breathing of wound and substantial supply of oxygen to the wound is duly insured for all layers of the multiple layer dressing. The beads play a pivotal role in promoting the effectiveness and performance of the multilayer dressing by acting as the plurality of effective cushions, as they absorb and uniformly redistribute a patient”s body weight across the entire applied dressing area. The low adhering adhesive coating of about 5 mm in width is applied to the peripheral edges of all the layers. Unlike the multilayer dressing already available in the market, skipping the application of low adhering adhesive coatings on the entire top and bottom surfaces of the layers helps in promoting overall breathability and consequently, the efficiency of the multilayer dressing of the present invention.

Application No., Date, Speed: 14714912 on 05/18/2015 (1926 days app to issue)
Abstract: A process for the recovery of ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene, and heavier hydrocarbon components from a hydrocarbon gas stream is disclosed. The stream is cooled and is thereafter expanded to the fractionation tower pressure and supplied to the fractionation tower at a lower mid-column feed position. A distillation stream is withdrawn from the column below the feed point of the stream and is then directed into heat exchange relation with the tower overhead vapor stream to cool the distillation stream and condense at least a part of it, forming a condensed stream. At least a portion of the condensed stream is directed to the fractionation tower at an upper mid-column feed position. A recycle stream is withdrawn from the tower overhead after it has been warmed and compressed. The compressed recycle stream is cooled sufficiently to substantially condense it, and is then expanded to the pressure of the fractionation tower and supplied to the tower at a top column feed position. The quantities and temperatures of the feeds to the fractionation tower are effective to maintain the overhead temperature of the fractionation tower at a temperature whereby the major portion of the desired components is recovered.

A micro-feature extractor that does not require training data is adaptive and self-trains while performing the extraction. The extracted micro-features are represented as a micro-feature vector that may be input to a micro-classifier which groups objects into object type clusters based on the micro-feature vectors.

Abstract: Memory pillar structures extending through an alternating stack of insulating layers and word-line-level electrically conductive layers are formed over a substrate. Each of the memory pillar structures includes a vertical semiconductor channel and a memory film. Each of the memory pillar structures protrudes above an insulating cap layer located above the alternating stack to provide an inter-pillar gap region that laterally extends between laterally-neighboring pairs of the memory pillar structures. A metal-nucleating material having a physically exposed metal-nucleating surface is formed at a bottom of the inter-pillar gap region without covering upper portions of sidewalls of the memory pillar structures. A metal may be selectively grown upward from the physically exposed metal-nucleating surface while suppressing growth of the metal from physically exposed vertical surfaces around the memory pillar structures. A metal layer without a seam may be provided, which may be used for a drain-select-level electrically conductive layer.

Inventor(s): Myo Tun (McKinney, TX)
Assignee(s): Euclid Discoveries, LLC (Burlington, MA)
Law Firm: Hamilton, Brook, Smith Reynolds, P.C. (2 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16420796 on 05/23/2019 (460 days app to issue)
Abstract: Videos may be characterized by objective metrics that quantify video quality. Embodiments are directed to target bitrate prediction methods in which one or more objective metrics may serve as inputs into a model that predicts a mean opinion score (MOS), a measure of perceptual quality, as a function of metric values. The model may be derived by generating training data through conducting subjective tests on a set of video encodings, obtaining MOS data from the subjective tests, and correlating the MOS data with metric measurements on the training data. The MOS predictions may be extended to predict the target (encoding) bitrate that achieves a desired MOS value. The target bitrate prediction methods may be applied to segments of a video. The methods may be made computationally faster by applying temporal subsampling. The methods may also be extended for adaptive bitrate (ABR) applications by applying scaling factors to predicted bitrates at one frame size to determine predicted bitrates at different frame sizes. A dynamic scaling algorithm may be used to determine predicted bitrates at the different frame sizes.

Law Firm: Straub Straub (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 16556787 on 08/30/2019 (361 days app to issue)
Abstract: A user device includes and maintains a geolocation list (GLL) including sets of information corresponding to Citizens Broadband radio Services Devices (CBSDs). The GLL stored in the user device contains entries corresponding to the areas most recently visited by the UE, each entry including location information of a CBSD. User devices typically frequent a limited set of the same areas repetitively. Thus this maintained relatively small list provides the UE with a highly relevant set of information which can be quickly accessed without additional wireless signaling and the additional power loss associated with a typical search. When the UE desires to find and connect to a CBSD, the UE first searches its GLL for a CBSD providing coverage in its currently located area. However, if GLL search does not identify a CBSD, then the UE sends a request to a geolocation server for active CBSDs.
