Dallas-Based Ryan Adds 14th Member to Board of Managers

Fred Crawford is an internationally recognized strategist and operations improvement specialist and was the CEO of AlixPartners, a leading global advisory firm, from 2008–2016.

Leading global tax services and software provider Ryan announced that Fred Crawford has joined its board of managers as its 14th member.

“I am thrilled to welcome Fred to the Ryan Board of Managers,” Ryan Chairman and CEO G. Brint Ryan said in a statement. “Fred’s background in strategy, operations, and management consulting are key in helping Ryan continue to innovate, grow, and achieve our strategic objectives.”

Crawford sees opportunities in his new role with Dallas-based Ryan.

“Joining the Ryan Board of Managers provides a great opportunity to leverage my background in professional services and my interest in partnering with innovative companies,” Crawford said in a statement. “I admire the past work that has been done to make Ryan the leader in tax services and software, and I’m excited to be a part of Ryan’s future.”

Crawford is an internationally recognized strategist and operations improvement specialist and was the CEO of AlixPartners, a leading global advisory firm, from 2008–2016.

During his tenure there, the firm grew significantly and created substantial shareholder value. Then, Crawford became senior vice chairman until his retirement in 2021.

Crawford remains a board member and advisor to the firm and also serves as a member of several industry boards and as an advisor to private equity firms.

Prior to AlixPartners, Crawford held senior positions at other major consulting firms and has experience in supply chain and brand management, Ryan said.

Crawford is coauthor of The Myth of Excellence, a BusinessWeek and New York Times best seller that details his research on consumer motivation and corporate strategic response.

Ryan is the largest firm in the world dedicated exclusively to business taxes.
