The skies over the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas will be filled with more than 34 helicopters starting at about 10 a.m. Friday, when Vertical Aviation International’s annual conference and exposition, Verticon, kicks off.
The helicopters will include some of the most popular models in the world. More vertical aircraft will arrive by truck, setting the stage for the world’s largest vertical aviation trade show, with more than 50 aircraft on display.
VAI said the aircraft fly-in will offer a glimpse of a wide variety of vertical aviation technology in action. The show dates are March 10-13 and the exhibit dates are March 11-13.
Formerly known as HAI Heli-Expo, Verticon 2025 is the largest vertical aviation trade show in the world, attracting more than 15,000 attendees from more than 85 countries and generating more than $2 billion in business for 680-plus exhibitors.
VAI said it’s showcasing its commitment to sustainability by ensuring that sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is available to aircraft flying into the convention center, showcasing the green options now available in aviation.
The Aircraft Fly-In begins around 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, weather permitting. Flights will continue until civil twilight (approximately 6:54 p.m.), resuming March 8–9 until all aircraft have arrived.
The Aircraft Fly-Out begins around 4 p.m., March 13, weather permitting, and continues until civil twilight (approximately 7:59 p.m.), resuming at about 8 a.m., March 14, until all aircraft have departed.
