Hesam Hosseini has been promoted to chief operating officer of Dallas-based Match Group, effective April 1. Gary Swidler will step down as president on that date and continue as an adviser to the company until July 4. The moves come one month after former Zillow co-founder and CEO Spencer Rascoff was appointed CEO of Match Group.

Last Friday, the $40 million-plus Peppa Pig Theme Park oinked its way to a grand opening in North Richland Hills, near Fort Worth. Developed by Merlin Entertainments, a global leader in branded entertainment destinations, it's the third Peppa Pig Theme Park on Earth, following two others in Florida and Germany. The little-kids-centered attraction marks the latest addition to Merlin’s partnership with leading games, IP and toy company, Hasbro.

The 300-unit luxury apartment project is located across from Choctaw Stadium and nearby Globe Life Field, just several field-goal kicks from AT&T Stadium. Developed by Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies in a collaboration with the Texas Rangers, it's the first residential component of the Arlington Entertainment District.

UT Dallas researcher Dr. Walter Voit transformed Minecraft’s 170-million-player universe into an advanced virtual training ground—for students and for AI agents tested by DARPA. His team’s Polycraft World uses gameplay to turn classroom theory into real-world expertise, covering topics from synthetic organic chemistry to nuclear plants to semiconductor facilities.
