Dallas-based and Dallas-grown, Texas Brand Bank was founded in 2005 and now has over $340 million in assets with five locations in Dallas and Garland, focusing on area small businesses and residents. With the pending merger, it will take on the name of Kemp, Texas-based Harmony Bank—which was formed in 1901, when horse-drawn wagons filled Dallas streets.

Kaleidoscope Park—under construction now near the Dallas North Tollway and Warren Parkway in Frisco's HALL Park development—will feature a performance pavilion, shaded promenades, Wi-Fi-equipped "technology terraces," and a permanent art installation by fabric artist Janet Echelman constructed of "atomized water particles" and an engineered fiber that's 15 times stronger than steel.
Executive director Dr. Scott Stewart says the park "will be a community park in the truest sense of the word," offering "a free, open, and accessible public space to enjoy, create, and inspire."

The Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas has provided more than $3.1 billion in funding toward the development of cancer-fighting therapeutics, devices, diagnostics, and tools since 2010. It's now issued a call for startups and early-stage companies to apply for product development research grants for the 2023 fiscal year.
“CPRIT’s mission is to invest in the research prowess of Texas institutions while expediting breakthroughs in cancer cures and prevention,” CEO Wayne Roberts said last May.

The Richardson-based Hedera network is a public distributed ledger that's helped advance everything from long-distance drone flights to stablecoin issuance to next-gen gaming and more. Now you can add art to the list. Yesterday LG launched its own NFT platform—LG Art Lab—on the Hedera network, giving users a "one-stop shop" to buy, sell, and showcase digital artworks.
The platform moves the concept of NFT art from computers to "a piece of art displayed as any other artwork would be within the home of its owner," says the CMO of Swirlds Labs, the team behind the Hedera network.

DataBank—a leader of the booming data center market, with over 65 data centers and 20 interconnection hubs in over two dozen metros—welcomed a new group of investors in the deal, led by Swiss Life Asset Management, EDF Invest, Northleaf Capital Partners, and Ardian.
