Two months after investing at least $5 million in ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-electric engine developer, Fort Worth-based American Airlines has made a strategic investment in L.A.-based Universal Hydrogen Co., a hydrogen fuel distribution and logistics startup.
"This technology has the potential to be a game-changer on the industry’s path to zero-emission flight,” said Derek Kerr, American’s CFO.

Governor Greg Abbott confirmed today that San Francisco-based Wells Fargo will build a new corporate campus in Irving's Las Colinas development. Based around two 400,000-square-foot towers, the campus will provide a home for Wells Fargo's 3,000 local employees, while creating 650 jobs. Dallas firm KDC has been tapped as developer.
The move is being aided by a $5 million "deal-closing" grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund, on top of $30 million in incentives approved by the Irving City Council in August.

The $250 million, nine-story hospitality complex will feature 600 guest rooms. The list of amenities is long, including a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, a sprawling fitness center with pool, a dining room and tavern, outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, and more. Located at the heart of American Airlines' $1 billion Fort Worth HQ campus, it will give visiting employees a place to relax and unwind after a day of training and meetings.

Late last month, IBM acquired Dallas-based digital product engineering services firm Dialexa “to deepen its product engineering expertise and provide end-to-end digital transformation services for clients.”
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. But this week the company's co-founders, Scott Harper and Mark Haidar, disclosed something else on LinkedIn: How they both quit their jobs 12 years ago to launch a new adventure that would become Dialexa.

So is staying healthy: The new HQ is the third building in DFW to receive Fitwel certification for healthy workplaces, the company says.
