oneworld Alliance To Move Its Global HQ from NYC to American Airlines’ Fort Worth Campus

The alliance—aimed at frequent international travelers worldwide—has member airlines from around the world, including American plus seven others that fly out of DFW Airport: Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Qantas. Other international airlines are in oneworld as well.
"With our new home in Fort Worth, we anticipate even closer collaboration with American and our member airlines as we work side by side to further grow and strengthen oneworld," says CEO Rob Gurney.

Agarwal is CEO of Dallas-based Nextt, America’s largest bedding company. Known as the “King of Textiles,” he’s also the CEO of S2 Resources and Saffaire Investments, and earlier this year he launched a B2B marketplace, Expo Bazaar USA.
But the busy businessman also stays busy in the volunteer world. Since 2020, he's been on the Dallas Park Board as Mayor Eric Johnson’s rep, and has been the board's president since September 2021.

Two months after investing at least $5 million in ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-electric engine developer, Fort Worth-based American Airlines has made a strategic investment in L.A.-based Universal Hydrogen Co., a hydrogen fuel distribution and logistics startup.
"This technology has the potential to be a game-changer on the industry’s path to zero-emission flight,” said Derek Kerr, American’s CFO.

Before long, porches across North Texas will be strung with holiday lights—and covered with delivery boxes. Amazon's hiring push, part of 150,000 new openings across the U.S., comes with signing bonuses of up to $3,000 in select locations, average pay above $19 an hour, and the potential for advancement into "long-term careers."
"This year alone, more than 20,000 front-line employees received promotions," says John Felton, the company's SVP of worldwide operations.

Last May, Logan was named the 14th president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. In a virtual town hall, she answered questions about her background and her priorities for the district she oversees—which consists of Texas, northern Louisiana, and southern New Mexico.

Vari's new global HQ was designed by Dallas-based BOKA Powell. The company's goal: "continue to probe the future of how we work." With open stairwells inside and walking trails outside, getting up and about is encouraged. So is staying healthy: The new HQ is the third building in DFW to receive Fitwel certification for healthy workplaces, the company says.
"Most executives are still trying to figure out the future of work, the workforce, and workspaces—that’s where we come in," said Vari co-founder and CEO Jason McCann.
