Redfords, EarthX, and the DSO to Present U.S. Premiere of Multi-Arts Environmental Performance

"The Way of the Rain—Hope for Earth" blends orchestra, chorus, film, art, dance, and spoken word narration by Robert Redford to highlight both the earth's beauty and vulnerability. Created and directed by Sibylle Szaggars Redford, the one-night-only performance will be at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas on October 22. "The marrying of all these disciplines to tell the story of our Earth resonated with me, and I know it will resonate with audiences," says the DSO's CEO.

The first Juneteenth Fashion Show—here and in the U.S.—was held Sunday at the Legacy Hall Box Garden at Legacy West in Plano. Produced by Think Three Media, the show featured fashion creations by 11 history-making Black designers.

"Putting a spotlight on our incredible Black creatives, designers, and artists here in DFW was undoubtedly the icing on the cake," said Think Three CEO Leah Frazier.

Monuments Men Foundation Changes Name to Celebrate 27 WWII Women Art Rescuers

Today—on the 63rd anniversary of D-Day—the Dallas-based nonprofit changed its name to the Monuments Men and Women Foundation, acknowledging the 27 women members of the allied WWII art rescue team.

"This name change has been a long-standing wish of mine," said bestselling Dallas author Robert M. Edsel, the foundation's founder and chairman. "The upcoming opening of the Monuments Men and Women Gallery [at the National World War II Museum] presented just the right opportunity."

Today, at permanent installations in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and Denver, Meow Wolf creates immersive and interactive experiences "that transport audiences of all ages into fantastic realms of story and exploration."

In 2023, Meow Wolf plans to do just that in a new location at Grapevine Mills mall, followed in 2024 by another permanent installation in Houston's Fifth Ward.
