Braemont Capital Adds New Managing Director, BizDev VP

As managing director, Daniel Grinnan will take the lead on sourcing and executing new investment while supporting the growth and oversight of Braemont’s portfolio companies. New business development VP Will Olson will concentrate on sourcing new investments, supporting M&A efforts, and continuing to grow the firm's Entrepreneur & Family Office Network.

Dallas-based investment firm Braemont Capital has named Daniel Grinnan as managing director and Will Olson as vice president of business development to boost the company’s investment sourcing, execution, and portfolio value creation capabilities.

Robert Covington, Braemont founder and managing partner, said Grinnan’s experience in executing investments and Olson’s expertise in business development will help Braemont continue to expand its portfolio and family office network, offering “a meaningful edge in how we source and support companies.”

“Both share the belief that relationships and trust are the real currency in this business,” Covington added in a statement, “which is exactly what Braemont is built on.”

As managing director, Grinnan will take the lead on sourcing and executing new investments, while supporting the growth and oversight of Braemont’s portfolio companies. Grinnan joins Braemont from the Riverside Company, where he served as Principal and was responsible for originating, executing, and managing investments throughout the firm’s key sectors. Previously, he was an Associate at Newstone Capital Partners and an Investment Banking Analyst at Raymond James.

In his role as VP, Olson will concentrate on sourcing new investments, supporting strategic initiatives and M&A efforts throughout the firm’s portfolio, as well as continuing to grow Braemont’s Entrepreneur & Family Office Network. Previously, Olson served as VP of corporate development at Vixxo Facility Solutions, a Braemont portfolio company. At Vixxo, he led strategic acquisition initiatives and helped build the company’s M&A function. Prior to Vixxo, he was head of M&A and Capital Markets at Farmers Business Network, and he advised private equity sponsors and corporate clients at Stax Inc. and EY-Parthenon.

Founded in 2021 by Covington, former Red Bird Capital co-managing partner, Braemont Capital made its first partial exit in December with the sale of a majority stake in Loenbro, LLC, a technical services provider to the data center and critical infrastructure markets, to middle market private equity firm Kohlberg.
