From Frisco to downtown Dallas, public art is a staple for all of Craig Hall’s buildings.
This week, the entrepreneur was honored as the recipient of the inaugural Great Contributor to Art Award from the Dallas Arboretum Artscape Reimagined 2017 committee, the group announced.

“I am a strong believer in the importance of public art and the incredible effect it can have on its audience,” said Hall, the founder of HALL Group. “Art has the ability to touch the soul and make people think and it should be shared openly and democratically.”
The Great Contributor to Art Award was created by Gary Lee Price, whose Great Contributors exhibition at the Arboretum inspired the award’s name.

He’s got more than 200 sculptures and other works of art at HALL Park in Frisco. And the KPMG Plaza at HALL Arts near downtown features a Texas Sculpture Walk.
“Craig Hall embodies the spirit of this award. He is someone who collects art not for himself but for the benefit of the communities in which we live and work, and we are excited to honor him,” said Kaki Hopkins, chairwoman of Artscape Reimagined 2017.
The Arboretum is gearing up for the Artscape Reimagined show that will feature more than 100 professional artists from around the country. A member’s only preview is set for April 28 and it’s open to the public April 29-30.
