A cybersecurity seminar is happening in Dallas, a Frisco entrepreneur digitizes youth sports, and a new program for website security has been launched.
Protection 1 will be hosting a series of seminars for small and mid-sized businesses in the DFW area that started Tuesday and runs through mid-August. Production 1 Cybersecurity in DFW will have networking and Q&A’s available after each seminar. Focusing on hacking and cybersecurity for businesses, the seminars will have speakers from various security groups and an FBI agent. A Frisco-based CEO is hoping to solve a common problem among youth sports teams. With the backing of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his family, and Providence Equity Partners, Rob Wechsler raised $100 million in 60 days. The founder of SoftLayer, Lance Crosby, has launched a new cybersecurity company after gaining $150 million in Series A funding. StackPath will gather and analyze information from the Internet and detect and identify real-time threats. StackPath stores the information to be available to StackPath subscribers.
