On Thursday, Bonton Farms Director Daron Babcock will be the featured speaker for Workbench@TheGrove’s summer series.
Bonton Farms is situated in the South Dallas neighborhood known as Bonton, where 63 percent of its residents lack personal transportation and the nearest grocery store is a three-hour round-trip bus ride away, according to its website.
Babcock, who moved from Frisco to Bonton a few years ago, is helping change the poor neighborhood through its urban farming. He will share his story and vision for the Bonton community at the event.
