Workbench at the Grove: Babcock Shares Vision for Bonton Community

Bonton Farms' Daron Babcock is trying to change the poor neighborhood in South Dallas through urban farming

On Thursday, Bonton Farms Director Daron Babcock will be the featured speaker for Workbench@TheGrove’s summer series.  

Bonton Farms is situated in the South Dallas neighborhood known as Bonton, where 63 percent of its residents lack personal transportation and the nearest grocery store is a three-hour round-trip bus ride away, according to its website.

Babcock, who moved from Frisco to Bonton a few years ago, is helping change the poor neighborhood through its urban farming. He will share his story and vision for the Bonton community at the event.

Workbench@The Grove is an ongoing speaker series designed to connect you with some of Dallas’ brightest minds and innovators.
