Vets Make House Calls in New App-based Service

VetPronto saves the pet and the owner the stress of a clinic trip with in-house visits.

A new app-based service called VetPronto is coming to North Texas that connects local veterinarians with pet owners for house calls, CBS DFW reports.

The veterinarians can conduct blood tests, give medication, and diagnosis problems with a pet in the home. That saves the pet and the owner the stress of having to take them to a clinic.

Surgery will still require a visit to the clinic.

Customers can use the app to find a participating vet and select them. The app then requests the pets’ medical records and an appointment is made.

The visits cost a minimum of $150 plus $25 to $50 for additional treatments or medication.
