Dallas Wins With Corporate Relocations

Plano campus

Dallas has scored a touchdown by enticing huge corporations to relocate to the area. Toyota North America, ACTIVE Network, and CVE Technology Group are just a few that are each bringing thousands of new jobs associated with their relocations. In case you haven’t noticed, there is new construction everywhere — residential, commercial, and public works. I can tell by the number of nails I’m picking up in my tires.

These companies and the dozens of others are innovators in their respective industries. None of these companies were “dot-com” startups in the 1990s with an idea on a napkin and lot of venture capital dollars in the bank. Each of these companies has endured through their own struggles, setbacks, learning curves, and not only survived, but thrived.

Companies are a lot like a football teams. Both are nothing but a name or an idea without their people. The inspirational quote “eagles only soar with other eagles” rings very true. I also believe it’s one of the reasons why these already successful companies are soaring from wherever they originated and are relocating to Dallas.

As we continue to advance past the first decade in the 21st century, these companies will require a lot of star players if they want to continue to succeed. In particular, be on the lookout for an influx of creative people, talented minds, visionaries, and corporate leaders.

This next generation of innovators may range from fresh-out-of-school to 30 or more years in the workforce looking to continue soaring with eagles. Get ready to cheer, because Dallas still home to “America’s team.”
