The Last Word: Dallas-Based LTK’s Amber Venz Box On Competing With Tech Giants

Dallas-based LTK is proving that North Texas startups can go toe-to-toe with Silicon Valley giants. In a recent interview with Axios, Amber Venz Box discussed the company’s impressive growth in the creator economy space.

LTK, a marketing tech platform connecting creators, brands, and shoppers, has seen its reach expand significantly since raising a $300 million Series B from SoftBank in 2021. The company now expects to drive nearly $5 billion in annual retail sales through its platform, doubling its 2020 figures.

With more than 300,000 creators on board and over 40 million monthly shoppers, LTK has established itself as a major player in the influencer marketing world. The platform features 450 million products from more than 1 million brands, with brand partnerships growing 25% from 2022 to 2023.

Despite facing competition from both established tech companies and new startups, Venz Box remains confident in LTK’s position.  Underscoring the company’s resilience, Axios said Venz Box “noted investors previously viewed LTK as un-investable because Instagram was going to kill it.”

As for the future, “every exit option is on the table for LTK,” which “has been operating internally like a public company” for some time, the publication writes. With LTK’s current focus on building the best home for creators, the company continues to innovate, recently launching new tools like a product commission comparison feature and a full-screen video feed on its app.
