.…on winning a Walmart “Golden Ticket,” which will see her wine-infused jams reach Walmart shelves in 2025.
The signature Jam Vino gourmet wine-infused jam created by Keller-based Chef Lorius was one of 92 brands to receive a Golden Ticket during the annual Walmart Open Call. Available online now at Walmart.com, it’ll reach the discount giant’s shelves in 2025. “Jam Vino combines the heart of the South with the elegance of wine country, and our partnership with Walmart allows us to fulfill our mission of providing Everyday Luxury for Everyday People,” Chef Lorious (AKA Lori Rogers) said in a statement.

In 2022, we told you about two next-gen, robotics-packed Walmart facilities that were coming to Lancaster, just south of Dallas: a 1.5 million-square-foot automated fulfillment center and a 730,000 square-foot automated grocery distribution center. The first opened last year and the second is still under construction. When it's completed, it will complete a trifecta of transformation in the region, including a retrofitted 1.2-million-square-foot distribution center in Sanger, north of Denton.

The new 1.5 million-square-foot, next-generation fulfillment center 15 miles south of Dallas will be home to roughly 1,000 Walmart associates, the company said. The center will combine people, technology, and machine learning to enable faster shipping and delivery.

Starting later this month, Walmart app users in Frisco, Lewisville, and North Richland Hills can click "Shop drone-ready picks" on the Walmart app to launch Wing drone deliveries to their homes. Other recently unveiled tech has been rolling out, too.
