The Texas Woman’s University’s Center for Women in Business is offering a series of free technology workshops for female business owners and entrepreneurs.
The goal of the workshops beginning Tuesday is to help female business owners increase their professional productivity. All of the workshops will take place Tuesdays in Room 105 of the Arts and Sciences Building on TWU’s Denton campus.
The workshops include:
Microsoft Access 101: 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 26
Microsoft Excel 101: 5:30-7 p.m. July 17
Email Management: 5:30-7 p.m. July 24
Google Apps Overview: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. July 31
Opened in 2015, TWU’s Center for Women in Business is the only university center in Texas dedicated to women’s entrepreneurship and business ownership. In addition to education, the center helps female business owners with networking and offers scholarships and grants. It’s also part of the university’s Institute for Women’s Leadership announced in May. The institute represents three centers focused on inspiring women to run for political office, become entrepreneurs, and gain professional leadership skills.
For more information about the upcoming technology workshops and to register, visit twu.edu/center-women-business or contact Center for Women in Business Director Shannon Mantaro at 940-898-2895.
