Tech-Centric Timmy Awards Announces Winners of First Annual Dallas Event

On Oct. 29, the Dallas winners will compete on the national stage for the chance to win a National Timmy Award.

This international event series has brought its 2020 program to the Big D with five tech-centered categories featuring local DFW companies. On Oct. 29, the Dallas Timmy Award winners will be recognized through a virtual awards ceremony during which the National Timmy Award winners will be announced.

Event company Tech in Motion created the Timmy Awards with a mission to bring local tech communities together to meet, learn, and innovate. Now in its sixth year, the annual awards series takes place in 11 regions across the U.S. and Canada.

The Dallas Timmy Award winners were decided based on public voting, with the regional winners going on to be judged by a panel for the national competition. This year’s speakers and judges include Adam Cheyer, co-founder of Siri and Change.org; Bruce Wang, director of Engineering at Netflix; and Nirmal Srinivasan, software engineering director at Paypal.

Here are the winners of the first annual Dallas event with category descriptions provided by Tech in Motion:
