For decades, Dallas has dreamed of a transformational park along the Trinity River near downtown Dallas. This week, the Trinity Park Conservancy announced that a groundbreaking will finally happen in 2024. Houston-based Lovett Industrial has begun construction on the buildings in the West Dallas submarket, calling it the largest industrial project under construction in infill Dallas. "These will be first-class facilities in a truly unique location within a dynamic logistics market," Lovett Director Colby Everett says. One is for a logistics company—and one is being built on behalf of Dallas County.
HiFAB, a new venture from Dallas-based Oaxaca Interests, will be building modular homes from its new plant on a seven-acre site in Grand Prairie. The first offering: two- and three-bedroom "Haciendas" designed by the noted San Antonio architecture firm Lake|Flato, starting at $249K and $375K.

The Builders of Hope Community Development Corporation (BOHCDC) is partnering with The Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development (DCED), led by TREC Community Fund, to assist residents in West Dallas.
The PRO Neighborhoods grant will be used to create a roadmap for bolstering equitable progress in three vulnerable Dallas neighborhoods: the Forest District in Southern Dallas/Fair Park, “The Bottom” neighborhood in East Oak Cliff, and West Dallas.
