Plano-Based Toyota Motor North America Partners on EV‑to‑Grid Technology

Toyota and Washington, D.C.-based utility company Pepco are partnering to explore bidirectional power flow technology. The tech will allow battery EV owners to not only charge their vehicles but also send power back to the local energy grid during peak demand hours or at critical times—such as severe weather events.
