Dallas-Based Astrapi Is Giving U.S. Air Force and Space Force Next-Gen Radio Capability

Astrapi has been awarded its second Phase II SBIR contract from the U.S. Air Force's AFWERX program. The goal: enable warfighters to get more info while using less signal power. The project complements another Astrapi project funded with support from the U.S. Space Force—using spiral modulation in a miniaturized radio suitable for Low Earth Orbit deployment. The two contracts total nearly $1.5 million in the past four months, leveraging tech with applications in commercial markets as well.
