Six Ellis County Organizations Receive $180K in Funding from Google

Google announced that six Ellis County organizations collectively will receive more than $180,000 from the company to support the physical and mental well-being of the county’s residents.

The company has a data center in Midlothian and recently announced a new data center in Red Oak.

“Providing resources and other support to six essential organizations in Ellis County is a necessary step towards enhancing the wellbeing and lives of residents throughout the community,” Kate Franko, regional head of Data Center Public Affairs for Google, said in a statement....

Google Boosts its Texas Investments With a New $600M Midlothian Data Center

In coordination with the announcement, Google also said it is giving the Midlothian Independent School District a $100,000 grant for the development of STEM programs in schools. And, it's leasing additional office space in Austin.
