Each $50,000 Early-Stage Research Grant helps fuel critically important medical and scientific research in North Texas. To date, the 21 researchers supported by The Cary Council have gone on to secure more than $21 million in additional funding.

The Jensen Project, an Irving-based nonprofit that fuels strategic partnerships in the fight against sexual violence, has announced its 2024 GrantTank recipients, who will cumulatively receive more than $6 million for this application cycle.
Founder Janet Jensen began GrantTank to address the isolation and lack of collaboration among nonprofits in the movement to fight sex trafficking.

Last summer, the BCBSTX program awarded nearly $3M in funds to 101 organizations across the Lone Star State—including many in North Texas. The deadline for nonprofits to apply for Blue Impact 2024-2025 grants is Feb. 9. Other impact-aligned community, business, and provider organizations are invited to request sponsorships.

Three UT Southwestern Medical Center physician-scientists pursuing the prevention and treatment of disease that affect various stages of child development have been announced as the latest recipients of the Cary Council’s Early-Stage Research Grants.
UTSW said the annual awards support its investigators working on promising research and are made possible by donations to The Cary Council, whose members refer to the award recipients as “DocStars.”...
