This year's Island Resilience Forum is championing the SC1.5NCE Not SILENCE campaign, which mobilizes world leaders and national governments to publicly champion the ​IPCC 1.5C Special Report, a study that looks at the impacts of global warming. Behind it all is Dallas-based organizations: the Island Resilience Partnership, March for Science, and EarthX. But why is a land-locked area like Texas involved? "Their future is our future," organizers say.
