The 18th Dallas International Film Festival opens today with a Majestic Theatre screening of "Dude Perfect: A Very Long Shot" from ESPN's "30 for 30" documentary series. Running through May 2 and featuring more than 100 films, the festival includes an array of titles from local filmmakers, producers, distributors, and investors.
A suspense-horror short script takes the grand prize, with feature, TV pilot and short scripts also honored. Sneakerhead is set to be directed by award-winning filmmaker Johnathan Brownlee.
