Dallas-Based DataBank Closes $1.45B Financing, Supports Data Center Project in Red Oak

The news follows DataBank's announcement in April that it had secured a $2 billion loan for construction of the first three of eight planned data centers at its campus in Red Oak, south of Dallas.

According to a Business Insider report, Oracle will be the tenant for all three data centers, as well as the fourth one planned at the campus in Red Oak. Tokyo-based MUFG Bank, Ltd. was the administrative agent, coordinating lead arranger, and sole bookrunner on the $2 billion loan.

L.A. is one of America's "most supply-constrained data center markets," DataBank noted. The new 32MW data center, located in the suburb of Vernon just south of the city, will meet the growing demand for high-density, scalable data center capacity that the L.A. region is currently seeing from cloud, AI, and enterprise customers.
