The new center at Bridge Labs will train the workforce powering North Texas’ biotech boom—helping startups speed therapies, vaccines, and breakthrough biologics from lab bench to patients. Funded in part by Lyda Hill Philanthropies, the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing Satellite Campus is set to open this summer.

Federal Health Agency Plugs Into Texas With Ambitious Clinical Trials Push

The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health—or ARPA-H— wants to enable 90% of eligible Americans to participate in clinical trials within 30 minutes of their homes. The agency officially launched its new Texas "customer experience" headquarters at Dallas' Pegasus Park on Thursday, which will be home base for the initiative.

The Prix Galien USA Committee honored excellence and innovation in life sciences during the Prix Galien USA Forum and 16th annual Prix Galien Awards Gala last week at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
One big winner was BioLabs, which has a 37,000-SF coworking and shared wet lab space at the Biotech+ Hub at Pegasus Park in Dallas, along with other locations across the U.S. and in France and Germany.

The Biotech+ Hub at Pegasus Park in Dallas has been attracting more and more life science startups and university teams. Now a whole herd of Mustangs are about to stampede there. The SMU Institute for Computational Biosciences at Pegasus Park will have space at the 23-acre development. SMU researchers from a variety of disciplines will be focusing on bio-scientific discoveries, leveraging advanced computational algorithms and technologies.

ReCode Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical startup using a non-viral lipid nanoparticle delivery platform for gene therapies, has closed a $120 million extension to a funding round it raised last year to help bring its lead programs to human trials and “follow the science” to target new diseases.
With a research team working out of BioLabs' life sciences facility at Pegasus Park, ReCode aims to grow its global team from about 70 to 100 over the next year.
