Some two dozen new murals of performing artists from Post Malone to Edie Brickell to St. Vincent will be going up at Deep Ellum Art Park, located at the gateway to the historic neighborhood underneath Highway I-345. Attendees of the Deep Ellum Block Party on Nov. 23 will have the chance to pick up a brush and join in.
The sixth annual event will be free to the public Oct. 18-19 at Dallas Market Hall, with a VIP benefit preview on Oct. 17. The art fair exclusively features works by Texas women artists in an effort to promote, support, and connect exceptional yet under-represented regional talent.
Music Audience Exchange (MAX) has acquired My Artist Pages LLC, also known as AMAP.to, to offer artists new capabilities for managing their digital presence and connecting with fans.
Frisco-based MAX, a tech marketing company that powers brand and music partnerships, raised $6 million in 2017. A new round led by Interlock Partners will help fund the development of SET.Live. The new platform lets artists engage with fans at live shows while creating unique sponsorable assets for brands like Ford, McDonald's, and more.
“This investment allows MAX to continue fulfilling its mission to automate and digitize artist sponsorships and create a new marketplace for the creator economy,” says CEO and founder Nathan Hanks.
The Bomb Factory, Canton Hall, and Trees are offering a turnkey service for virtual events complete with pyrotechnics, light shows, and the energy of live performances.
The Nasher Artists Grants program provides financial aid to ten artists of North Texas to support their studio and curatorial practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Blue Dot" is Jeremiah Onifadé's 96-hour-straight art show that aims to open Dallas denizens to new places and experiences. It will take place virtually and in-person—with social distancing measures—from June 19-23.
