Combining America’s hottest new sport with dining and socializing, Serve & Sip Pickleball Club is set to open in Dallas in late May.
Located at 11250 N. Central Expy. off Royal Lane, the 200-plus capacity club offers climate-controlled courts and a full-service restaurant and bar.
The brand’s founder, SMU alumnus Alex Menzel, said Serve & Sip “is where being active and having a social life come together.”
“We wanted to build something that keeps the energy going long after the game ends,” Menzel added in a statement.
Accessible sport and social club

The concept was developed by Menzel, who has a background in racquet sports, finance, and real estate development. After earning his MBA from SMU and building his career at firms like Goldman Sachs, Menzel said he saw a gap between crowded public courts and exclusive country clubs as a chance to create something more accessible and social.
Drawing from his competitive tennis background, he saw an opportunity to create a space that “feels as much like a destination to gather as it does a place to play.”
Joe LaManna, Serve & Sip’s CFO and managing director, joined the company in late 2025 to lead operational strategy and guide the club through its startup phase. With a background in finance, hospitality, and large-scale entertainment, LaManna is helping to turn the vision into a fully realized, hospitality-driven concept.
The team has designed the club as “a thoughtful blend of sport, design, and social connection,” Serve & Sip said.
Clay-inspired courts

Inside, the space is designed to feel more like a high-end restaurant or social club than a traditional sports facility. Designed by Dallas-based Coeval Studio, the interiors are inspired by the iconic red clay courts of the French Open, with a rich, clay-toned palette layered against deep green accents and textured finishes that create a warm, upscale atmosphere.
The club’s centerpiece is six climate-controlled indoor courts that offer Professional Pickleball Association-certified CushionX surfacing, a premium system engineered for exceptional ball response, consistent performance, and player comfort. Unlike standard courts, these custom clay-inspired surfaces are designed to reduce player fatigue while providing optimal speed and responsiveness, offering a best-in-class playing experience, Serve & Sip said.
Hospitality first approach
Guests can reserve courts, join open play, participate in leagues or book clinics, then enjoy food and beverages at The Drop Kitchen & Bar. The facility is designed to move easily from play into a more social setting, Serve & Sip said.
The menu offers both fresh, lighter fare for courtside snacking or the health-conscious guest and “bold, shareable plates” designed to fuel the athlete and bring the table together. Highlights include a crispy chicken sandwich, roasted beet hummus, and a Mediterranean bowl.
The beverage program includes craft cocktails, mocktails, and signature drinks. Signature offerings include the Electric Rally shot, made with fresh cucumber juice, agave, and Szechuan button with a flaming topper. Daytime sips will include coffee from Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters, smoothies, and lighter fare.
“Most clubs in this space treat hospitality as an afterthought,” LaManna said in a statement. “We built Serve & Sip the other way around, hospitality and service first, with top tier courts to match. Friends enjoying a cool Serve & Spritz in the lounge should feel just as taken care of as the group stepping onto the court.”
‘Where competition meets connection’
In addition to courts, food, and beverages, Serve & Sip will host a diverse lineup of programming, including social mixers, themed events, Mahjong nights, watch parties, and wellness-focused classes such as yoga and mobility sessions.
The club will offer a tiered membership model with benefits such as priority booking, complimentary play passes, exclusive events and preferred pricing on reservations, leagues, clinics and private lessons, while remaining accessible to guests.
Serve & Sip will open in phases, beginning with a private preview followed by a soft opening for media and select guests in late May.
“Serve & Sip is where competition meets connection,” said Menzel.” We built it for Dallas, where the energy doesn’t stop at the court and neither should the experience.”
