THE APPRENTICE PROJECTS

Jannica Morton, founder of The Mindsh!ft Marketing Agency, and Abe Nadimi, founder of the Kinetic Experience and co-founder of Social Smoke will be speaking at The Kinetic Experience.The goals of this event are to collide business experts with up-and-coming visionaries to work on skills that can be used in the business world. They will reference “Crushing It!” by Gary Vaynerchuk “for strategic and tactical activities to build your path to professional and financial success through your brand,” according to the event page.

MONDAY, JULY 9

MILLENNIAL SPEAKER SERIES: BUILDING AND FUNDING YOUR BUSINESS

Capital Factory and The Dallas Entrepreneur Center will be hosting the Millennial Speaker Series event that will leave the attendees with more knowledge about the process of building and funding a business in DFW. DFW SUPER INVESTOR MEETING

DALLAS AND THE NEW URBANISM: A D MAGAZINE SPECIAL EDITION SYMPOSIUM
Horchow Auditorium at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood St., in Dallas

Hear what D Magazine and business professionals throughout the area have to say about new urbanism in Dallas. There will be three different panels that will discuss the transition from a commuter to a residential city, reclaiming urban identity, and building an inclusive city. The guest speaker will be Charles (Chuck) Haseman, a business advisor as well as retail and CPG Industry professional sales leader. The event aims to foster communication about the best practices among entrepreneurs, encourage meaningful networking, and facilitate community support, according to the event site.

COFFEE WITH THE KIDS 
Vogel Alcove, 1738 Gano St., in Dallas
8:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Vogel Alcove CEO Karen Hughes will be discussing the issue of homelessness in Dallas and explain how Vogel Alcove’s specialized programs can help homeless children and families throughout the area. This event will increase knowledge about Vogel Alcove’s mission to help children recover from the effects of homelessness and let attendees meet the staff, network, and take tours of the facility.
