MILLENNIALS IN BUSINESS HAPPY HOUR
Bar Stellar, 2810 N. Henderson Ave., in Dallas 
5 – 8 p.m.

Join Millennial Clubs for its monthly business networking event, Millennials in Business. At the last event, there were more than 150 millennial business owners and millennial professionals to mix and mingle with. The price of the ticket includes one beverage.

FRIDAY, AUG. 17

AROUND THE WORLD AT TRINITY GROVES 
Trinity Groves, 3011 Gulden Lane, in Dallas
6 – 10 p.m. 

Local bloggers Dallasites101 is hosting an Around The World Bar Crawl at Trinity Groves. Attendees will have a chance to try a variety of food and drinks from different cultures. The participating restaurants will have their own drink specials inspired by a particular country for the night and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Katy Trail.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING WORKSHOP
Downtown Republic Center, 325 N. St. Paul St., Suite 3100, in Dallas
9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

Since social media is a huge part of everyday life, Darlene Hunter & Associates LLC, wants to educate people on the benefits and risks associated with using social media. The key objectives of this workshop will be to understand different social media platforms, how to identify an audience, how to monitor and measure performance, and considering the consequences before posting content on social media.

RHYTHMS OF THE HEART
The Longhorn Ballroom, 216 Corinth St., in Dallas
Doors open at 5 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to a night full of music, fun, and a chance to raise money and awareness for the Dallas-based American Heart Association. There will be music from Jackie Darlene, The Whiskey Prophets, and Kelly Cutler & Western Deluxe, a chance to participate in a silent auction, and food from local food trucks.

GIVE BACK GAME NIGHT
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History,1600 Gendy St., in Fort Worth
7- 11 p.m.

Give Back Game Night will feature a wealth of games to delight every kind of gamer including video games, trivia, karaoke, pinball, virtual reality simulators, minute to win it games, and more. Funds raised through Give Back Game Night will allow the museum to continue to provide innovative educational initiatives.

WORKPLACE DIVERSITY WORKSHOP
Downtown Republic Center, 325 N. St. Paul St., in Dallas
9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Workplace Diversity Workshop is planning to help participants understand diversity and how they can help create a more inclusive environment at work. 

Some workshop objectives include:

  • Explaining the meaning, history, and terms of diversity
  • Describing stereotypes and biases and how they develop
  • Using active listening skills by receiving messages in a diverse population
  • Identifying ways to encourage diversity in the workplace

DALLAS VIDEOFEST PAWFEST
Texas Theatre, 231 W. Jefferson Blvd., in Dallas
Doors open at 5 p.m.; Show starts at 7 p.m.

CatFest has expanded to include dogs for this night of watching funny and heart-warming videos of the cutest cats and dogs in town. A portion of the proceeds made will go to MADE in Texas Assistance Dogs, The Spay Neuter Network, Cat Matchers, and Straydogs Inc.
