Frisco-based data security provider Netwrix announced four executive appointments to its technology leadership team.
“We’re excited to welcome these seasoned technology leaders to drive the next chapter of Netwrix’s innovation and growth,” CEO Grady Summers said in a statement. “Their expertise will be instrumental in scaling our product development, advancing the 1Secure SaaS platform strategy, and supporting rapid global expansion.”
Paul Stephens comes to Netwrix as chief technology officer and brings extensive experience in building scalable, cloud-native SaaS platforms. He has held senior leadership roles at Symantec, Veritas, ServiceNow, and most recently, Splunk, where Netwrix said he drove modernization and product innovation across large engineering teams.
In his new role, Stephens will oversee Netwrix’s global R&D organization and lead the vision and development of Netwrix 1Secure, a SaaS platform unifying data and identity security.
Netwrix said that Shawn Valle joins the company as chief information security officer and will be responsible for the security of both Netwrix’s enterprise operations and its product portfolio.
Valle brings experience leading security organizations at leading technology companies, including Salesforce, Rapid7, and Tricentis. The company said he will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s infrastructure, customer data, and cloud solutions remain secure and compliant.
Michael Wetzel joins Netwrix as chief information officer. Previously, Wetzel held senior IT leadership roles at The Hershey Co., where he led initiatives to modernize infrastructure, improve team collaboration, and implement AI-driven tools to enhance productivity, all while aligning security with business outcomes.
At Netwrix, Wetzel will define and execute the company’s IT strategy, with a focus on enabling AI innovation and global operational efficiency.
Jeff Warren, a longtime product and engineering leader at Netwrix, has been promoted to chief product officer, the company said. Since 2010, Warren has been instrumental in shaping Netwrix’s product direction and advancing its vision in data security. In his new role, Wetzel will lead product strategy and execution across the Netwrix portfolio, aligning roadmap priorities with customer needs and market opportunity.
