MD7 Names a New CTO

MD7 is gearing up for "double-digit growth" as 5G rolls out. The mobile infrastructure consultancy recently announced its corporate relocation from San Diego to Allen.

Allen-based MD7, a mobile infrastructure consultancy that assists operators to “build a more connected world,” has appointed Scott Belie as its new chief technology officer.

Belie has more than 25 years of experience in finance, healthcare, security, and software development tools, which most recently includes 13 years as a director of software engineering at Jack Henry & Associates Inc. Prior to that, he was the president of Order One Software. 

At MD7, which has deep roots in mobile networks, Belie will be tasked with scaling its industry-leading LiveTrack operations platform. His goal is to further expand MD7’s efficiencies and insights for its customers’ global, changing landscape, according to Mark Christenson, MD7’s president of international who was also CTO before Belie.

Prepping for double-digit growth

Currently, MD7 is preparing for double-digit growth as 5G rolls out from wireless providers across the U.S. and Europe, the company said.

“As our core business rests on driving efficiencies through data and machine learning, we provide our operator clients with insights and technology to build the networks of today and tomorrow,” Michael Gianni, chairman and CEO, said in a statement.

“Our IT team, led by its CTO, plays a huge part in this. We have the utmost faith in Scott, his vision, and his ability to work in dynamic and fast-growing environments.”

Moving to Texas

MD7, which recently announced its corporate relocation from San Diego, will move its headquarters to Allen. The consultancy signed a 25,000-square-foot office lease at One Bethany West located on the 17-acre Watters Creek campus. It’s a move that’s is expected to bring more than 200 new jobs and $6.8 million in capital investment to the region’s economy.
