OK, your house is a showplace. Your pool? Priceless. That $100K kitchen you never cook in? “Top Chef” ready. You’ve got a man cave to die for, and your she-shed cred’s incredible. But you’re missing one big thing—a swanky crib that your supercar can call home.
Trailblazers is here to help—with prices starting at $501,875.
The company plans to build motor garage condos—also known as “premium luxury car and collection facilities”—at locations in Irving and McKinney.
Gated locations come with ‘community clubhouse,’ video surveillance, car wash, and more
Offering spaces with sizes from 1,825 square feet including a 450-square-foot mezzanine, Trailblazers says its units can be combined to create “Texas’ largest auto garage condominiums.”
(They’re not necessarily just for cars, either. They can provide homes for motor homes, too, and for coveted collectibles from art collections to fine wine holdings and more, Trailblazers says.)
Each space is offered as a “blank canvas.” While the main floor houses your freshly detailed collection of Ferarris, Lambos, etc., the mezzanine can be converted into a “private lounge or anything to fulfill your hobby desires,” the company notes.
The climate-controlled units will come with an insulated roof, doors, and walls, along with “motorized coiling garage doors and superior design and finishes.” Each location will feature a community clubhouse with meeting area, restrooms, and showers. Wi-Fi, a community car washing station, and video surveillance throughout are also featured.
Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s says expansion is eyed beyond DFW
The Trailblazers projects are being marketed by the commercial division of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, with the Irving location offering 1,825-SF units at $501,875 and 2,160-SF units at $594,000.
Reese Davis, a commercial real estate advisor at Briggs Freeman, says there are plans to “expand across the DFW market, and eventually beyond.”
And the car condos aren’t necessarily just for cars, he noted, but for any coveted collectible.
“Scott Bumpas, Ellen Haynes and I are very excited to be the team representing Trailblazers’ luxury automotive condominiums,” Davis added in a LinkedIn post. “This stylish, private, and customizable space is adaptable to any collector—displaying prized cars, a gallery for art, a tasting room for wine, or a haven away from home.”
Presales have already begun
Presales for the Irving location have begun, with 30 of the 42 units still available, according to LoopNet. Prices there are $275 per square foot, with the McKinney location on tap to price slightly higher at $300 PSF.
The locations are slated to open in Q3 2024 at 4100 N. Star Drive in Irving’s Las Colinas and in Q4 2024 at 1301 N. Custer Road in McKinney.
