BigShots Golf—the tech-driven entertainment and dining experience that’s majority-owned by Dallas-based Invited—is planning its second location in DFW and eighth venue overall. The new 12-acre location will be part of the city’s EpicCentral entertainment district along SH 161, and is slated to open in Q2 2024.
The venue will feature BigShots’ new prototype design—a two-story tee-line with 80 interactive, climate-controlled tee boxes and ball-tracking tech powered by TrackMan Range. These enhancements allow games to be enjoyed by players of all ages and skill levels.
Avid golfers can play full rounds on virtual golf courses all over the world, while beginners, families, and children can take part in interactive games that give everyone a chance to win.
“BigShots Golf Grand Prairie is a great way for competitive players to enjoy the game they love as well as social and less experienced players to enjoy the sport in a fun, casual experience that includes top-notch dining and entertainment,” BigShots Golf COO TJ Schier said in a statement.
Grand Prairie Mayor Ron Jensen says the EpicCentral entertainment district already features the previously announced Bass Pro Shops and Andretti Karting and Games, and added that the city is developing it to be “a top destination for entertainment in DFW.”
Will also include 27-hole indoor putting course and sports bar
The Grand Prairie venue will also include a 27-hole tech-driven indoor putting course, the company says, along with an Anthem Kitchen + Bar, an “elevated sports bar” with large screens, menu items like the PB & Jam Burger, signature cocktails, and craft beer.
A 7,500 square-foot multi-function space will also be available for birthday parties, fundraisers, and corporate events.
A BigShots venue is already open in Fort Worth, along with location in Bryan, Texas; Firestone at Akron, Ohio; Springfield, Missouri, St. George, Utah; Vero Beach, Florida; and Northwest London, England. An eighth venue is under development in Naples, Florida, slated to open in 2024.
News comes after Jordan Spieth invested in Invited
The BigShots news comes a week after it was announced that Jordan Spieth has become an investor in Invited and will be a strategic advisor and brand ambassador for the company.
Spieth said last week that he aims to work with the Invited team “to help grow the company and leverage their unmatched platform to create an even greater impact in our communities. The partnership makes perfect sense as golf continues to expand in exciting ways, reaching new audiences while growing the impact on those who need a helping hand.”
