Doing the employee payroll is one of the necessary, but sometimes daunting tasks a small business owner performs each month.
Lewisville-based payroll startup GetPayroll launched its SIMON app earlier this month during Startup Night at the South by Southwest Conference and Festivals in Austin.
It is the world’s first green and completely digital payroll app, and is aimed at “micro-companies” that have fewer than 10 employees.
“With hundreds of phenomenal startup companies and like-minded entrepreneurs in Austin, South By Southwest was the perfect forum for the launch of SIMON,” GetPayroll President and CEO Charles Read said. “While payroll is never going to be fun, thanks to SIMON, it doesn’t have to be a painstakingly tedious task anymore. All it has to take you is literally three clicks.”
“Our fee structure is set up to ensure that micro-business owners don’t overpay for services they aren’t even using.”
SIMON is a three-click paperless payroll app that eases the monthly payroll process for the micro-business users. It affords them the necessary tools to easily, affordably, and efficiently manage their business’ payroll and payroll taxes anytime and anywhere, the company said.
“SXSW was a terrific forum for us because we were able to impact approximately 500 qualified small business owner leads who expressed a legitimate interest our product,” Read said.
Chris Boyce, GetPayroll operations manager, said that the fee structure for the app is a plus for micro-businesses.
“Our fee structure is set up to ensure that micro-business owners don’t overpay for services they aren’t even using,” Boyce said.
GET PAYROLL’S SIMON WORKS ON ANY DEVICE, ANY MAJOR BROWSER
The monthly price for an entire payroll for up to five employees is $20, and it’s $30 for businesses with six to 10 employees.
Users can access the app from their computer, smartphone, or tablet and can be run on all major browsers, the company said.
GetPayroll has been used by thousands of companies to manage their payroll since 1991.
