Frontiers of Flight Museum To Celebrate ‘Moon Day’ on Saturday, 55 Years After 1st Walk on the Moon
The event will feature a keynote talk by Astronaut Col. Gregory H. Johnson and a book signing from Jim Keyes, author of “Education is Freedom: The Future is in Your Hands,” as well as more than 20 exhibitors, seven speakers, autograph signings, educational hands-on activities, food trucks, and music.

The Frontiers of Flight Museum will celebrate the 55th Anniversary of National Moon Day—the day that Neil Armstrong first set foot on the Moon—on Saturday, July 20.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, located at 6911 Lemmon Avenue at Dallas Love Field. Many space exploration activities will be available for the entire family.

The event will feature a keynote talk by Astronaut Col. Gregory H. Johnson and a book signing from Jim Keyes, author of “Education is Freedom: The Future is in Your Hands,” as well as more than 20 exhibitors, seven speakers, autograph signings, educational hands-on activities, food trucks, and music.
The museum said that for the first time, attendees of the 16th Annual Moon Day event will have an exclusive opportunity to view a unique exhibition called “Legends of Space Innovation: David Clark Company,” which will feature two rare prototype space suits and headsets designed and manufactured by the company.

Besides the David Clark Co. Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts, the suits have not been exhibited anywhere else in the country until this weekend.
Additionally, the museum said that art and exploration will unite with the premier of a commissioned life-size painting of 10 Apollo astronauts by Polish-born Maciej Maga, who has lived in Dallas for nearly two decades.
Tickets to the 16th Annual Moon Day event are $15 for children and $20 for adults and are free for children two years of age and younger. To purchase tickets or learn more, you can go here.
