Fort Worth’s Voicebox Karaoke Reopens its Doors With New Safety Requirements in Place

The entertainment venue will officially reopen on July 3 with a new “Safety First” motto, while continuing to offer private karaoke experiences.

Voicebox Karaoke Fort Worth will reopen its doors in the Cultural District on Friday, July 3, after its initial soft reopening on June 26. The karaoke venue first opened to families and small groups in January, but had to close due to COVID-19.

Inspired by a style of karaoke popular in Asia, Voicebox is a private suite-style karaoke lounge with locations in Portland, Denver, Boise, along with its 3,900-square-foot Fort Worth space. The entertainment venue offers eight private booking boxes, which are the “perfect option for people looking for a fun night out,” according to Voicebox.

While Voicebox Karaoke was closed due to the ongoing pandemic, its team took that time to listen and plan for its reopening with new safety precautions in place to ensure the health of its guests.

“With the health and safety always top-of-mind with our guests, we collaborated with medical, ventilation and sanitation experts to create a very thorough reopening plan,” Founder Scott Simon said in statement.“We’re excited to welcome guests back with open arms and while some policies and procedures may be temporarily different, we promise the same amazing level of hospitality.”

Voicebox Karaoke Fort Worth has integrated new safety protocols into its venues to ensure the health and safety of its guests and staff members including adding enhanced air filtration systems, requiring patrons to wear masks at all times, closing the venue’s bar, conducting a deep cleaning of each suite between guests, and installing microphone covers.

Guests can use the Voicebox app on their phones to cue the more than 71,000 songs in 20 different languages available for karaoke instead of using in-suite remotes.

The entertainment venue is also offering a free online version of their karaoke fun with an at-home service titled Virtual Voicebox, which provides songs and nightlife-inspired backgrounds to transform Zoom calls into a virtual party.

“Our team is dedicated to making our new location in Fort Worth a success,” Simon said in a statement. “We are thrilled to open our Crockett Row venue as the first of what we hope will be many new Voicebox experiences in Texas and the Southwest, but we know growth comes from a responsibility to our guests and community. So, we want to prove to our friends and fans that we are here to be a business they can trust.

Guests can sing karaoke during Voicebox’s reduced hours of operation of Fridays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Voicebox will continue to update its hours in phases as the business reopens.
