Magnit, a California-based leader in contingent workforce management solutions, has appointed North Texan Chandra Dhandapani as its new chief executive officer. According to an announcement, Dhandapani brings extensive experience in leadership and digital transformation. At CBRE, she led services for clients in technology, healthcare, and financial sectors. She also served as CBRE’s first chief digital and technology officer and chief transformation officer, spearheading global digital initiatives. Before joining CBRE, she held senior leadership roles at Capital One.

“I am deeply honored to lead Magnit into its next chapter of transformation and growth,” Dhandapani said. “The contingent workforce management market benefits from long-term secular trends and Magnit is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this opportunity at a global scale through its client-centric approach, proven expertise, innovative technology platform, and data intelligence.”

Board appointments

Magnit also announced leadership changes to its board. John Driscoll has been named Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and Rebecca Henderson has joined as a board member. Driscoll, who previously served as President of U.S. Healthcare and Executive Vice President at Walgreens Boots Alliance, praised Dhandapani’s appointment:

“On behalf of the Board, we are thrilled to welcome Chandra as our new CEO. Her exceptional leadership and drive, expertise in digital transformation, and track record of delivering for clients make her an ideal choice for this role,” Driscoll said.

Outgoing CEO Teresa Carroll said she will support Magnit as an advisor through a transition period and is “confident that Chandra will take the company to new heights.”
