Dallas’ NBA 2K League team has announced its new name, logo, and social media channels.
Mavs Gaming is the team name and the logo reflects the Dallas Mavericks colors of white, off-white, and royal blue.
“We wanted a symbol that was unexpected, fearless, with a swagger that is rooted in our Dallas heritage,” Dallas Mavericks and Mavs Gaming owner Mark Cuban said in a release. “We are confident that whomever we draft for our team will be proud to wear it.”

The NBA 2K series is a partnership between the National Basketball Association and Take-Two Interactive. The video game is a simulation that reflects an actual game of basketball, and has been released annually since 1999.
Each team collaborated with Hattiesburg, Mississippi-based RARE Design. For the Mavs Gaming identity, the firm created a simple design, but one it believes communicates the true meaning of what makes a modern Maverick.
The Mavs Gaming social media accounts, @mavsgg (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), are live and interacting with fans interested in the NBA 2K League.
Mavs Gaming will field a team of five players who will be selected from a pool of the world’s best gamers via the League Draft held in March.
While the qualifying tryouts begin in March, the season’s season tips off in May 2018.
