The joint venture with Mark Cuban-backed IoT startup MeshTek has released a Kid-Centric lighting system that can communicate emergency safety protocols to students, teachers, and administrators with instant visual cues and immediate notification alerts. The company says its solution "is the only safety lighting system that utilizes a reliable Bluetooth mesh network." "With school safety being a top concern across the country, this innovation could not have come at a better time," Cuban says.

In October, it partnered with its first U.S. health plan, Capital Blue Cross. Now, by partnering with EmsanaRx, MCCPDC has made its first move into the self-insured employer drug market. Mark Cuban says EmsanaRx's "technological capabilities to customize to the needs of self-funded employers" will help his startup "bring lower cost medicines to a wider swath of the American public."

"In a world where we send billionaires to space in reusable rockets, I thought we ought to be able to create a solution that helps patients with opioid use disorder to get their daily medication in a way that does not disrupt their daily lives," said CEO Michael Giles, M.D.
