Application No., Date, Speed: 14726487 on 05/30/2015 (850 days app to issue)
Abstract: A medical gown includes a self-adjusting strap(s) that expands an upper torso section beyond a nominal girth thereof, for an adjustable fit. An upper and lower self-adjusting strap may be provided across the back. The straps may be formed from perforations in the upper torso section. A portion of the gown breaks away along the perforations to form the straps in response to stress or pulling when donned or during use. The self-adjusting straps allow expansion of the upper torso section to conform to users who require larger than the nominal girth, while continuing to secure the medical gown on the wearer during use. Extendable tie straps may be included, which are unfolded and elongated for adjustably sizing the closure around the wearer”s waist. The tie straps may be sufficiently long to extend to the back, and back around the waist again for tying in the front of the gown.

Autonomous formation pressure test process for formation evaluation tool
Patent No. 9771797
Inventor(s): Jeffery James Hemsing (Humble)
Assignee(s): Precision Energy Services, Inc. (Fort Worth)
Law Firm: Blank Rome LLP (4 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 14467504 on 08/25/2014 (1128 days app to issue)
Abstract: A formation tester places an isolation device, preferably a probe, in fluid communication with a formation to determine formation pressures. The tester”s controller uses a pressure pre-test process to autonomously control operation. The controller measures drawdown pressure and interval as the tester draws down pressure in flowline coupled to the probe. If the drawdown pressure indicates a dry test has occurred, the process is aborted. Otherwise, the controller measures buildup pressure and interval by allowing buildup of pressure of the flowline. The controller permits this to continue until the interval is longer than the drawdown interval and/or until a rate of the buildup falls below a predetermined rate. If the buildup pressure is too tight relative to the drawdown pressure, the controller aborts the test. Eventually, the controller measures a final buildup pressure when the buildup terminates. A new drawdown rate and volume can be determined for subsequent formation tests.

Abstract: A client application cache access profile is created that documents accesses over time to data cached within an in-memory data grid (IMDG) cache by each of a set of client applications that utilize the IMDG. A new data request is received from one of the set of client applications that includes a client-application data caching vote that specifies whether the requesting client application wants the newly-requested data cached. In response to an IMDG cache data miss related to the new data request, a determination is made as to whether to cache the newly-requested data based upon analysis of the client application cache access profile of the client application from which the new data request was received, IMDG system performance cache costs of caching the newly-requested data, and the client-application data caching vote. The newly-requested data is cached within the IMDG cache in response to determining to cache the newly-requested data.

Abstract: A novel scheme is defined for supporting service graphs to allow specific service functions to be applied to selected subsets of packet flows. According to one or more embodiments, a service graph is modeled as chains or sequences of ”flow steering entities” and ”service instances.” According to an embodiment, a flow steering entity (FSE) is configured to identify the flow, and select the next hop service instance in the chain. After a service instance returns the flow packet, the FSE steers the packet to the next FSE in the graph. An initial FSE is used to select matching traffic to enter the service graph. Wherever path forking and merging is required in the service graph, additional classifiers are positioned with the FSE to steer a subset of traffic along different paths of service function instances.

Signaling of random access preamble sequences in wireless networks
Patent No. 9774424
Inventor(s): Tarik Muharemovic (Dallas)
Assignee(s): Intel Corporation (Santa Clara, CA)
Law Firm: Schwegman Lundberg Woessner, P.A. (9 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 14326354 on 07/08/2014 (1176 days app to issue)
Abstract: Transmission of random access preamble structures within a cellular wireless network is based on the use of cyclic shifted constant amplitude zero autocorrelation (”CAZAC”) sequences to generate the random access preamble signal. A pre-defined set of sequences is arranged in a specific order. Within the predefined set of sequences is an ordered group of sequences that is a proper subset of the pre-defined set of sequences. Within a given cell, up to 64 sequences may need to be signaled. In order to minimize the associated overhead due to signaling multiple sequences, only one logical index is transmitted by a base station serving the cell and a user equipment within the cell derives the subsequent indexes according to the pre-defined ordering. Each sequence has a unique logical index. The ordering of sequences is identified by the logical indexes of the sequences, with each logical index uniquely mapped to a generating index. When a UE needs to transmit, it produces a second sequence using the received indication of the logical index of the first sequence and an auxiliary parameter and then produces a transmission signal by modulating the second sequence.

Abstract: A system and method for propagating fault information in an Ethernet OAM network having multiple levels of OAM domains. An Alarm Indication and Suppression (AIS) frame is generated by a Maintenance Intermediate Point (MIP) node upon detecting a fault condition in a first OAM domain, which is transmitted to one or more Maintenance End Points (MEPs) of the first OAM domain. Upon receiving the AIS frames, the MEP nodes are operable generate another AIS frame for propagating to an adjacent higher level second OAM domain. Responsive to the AIS frame from the lower level first OAM domain, any alarms caused in the second OAM domain due to the fault condition in the first OAM domain are suppressed.
