Dallas’ Accredited Labs Acquires California-Based Quality Surveillance Inc.

The combination of Accredited Labs and QSI will mean expanding the national reach and capabilities of both companies, which are in the business of ensuring the accuracy of test systems and measuring instruments.

Dallas-based Accredited Labs has acquired Oxnard, California-based Quality Surveillance Inc., a provider of calibration and metrology lab services with a focus on dimensional inspection.

Accredited Labs, which provides calibration, metrology, and quality assurance services, recently became the new national brand name for Dallas-based Aldinger Co., which made several acquisitions last year.

Terms of this latest deal, which closed in December, were not released.

Specialists in the science of measurement, both Accredited Labs and QSI are in the business of ensuring the accuracy of test systems and measuring instruments.

“QSI’s dedication to technical excellence and customer satisfaction aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver superior calibration and quality assurance services,” Joe Moser, CEO of Accredited Labs, said in a statement. “Together, we look forward to expanding our national reach and capabilities while maintaining our local presence and exemplary customer service.”

Accredited Labs and QSI’s combined resources will drive growth and innovation for both companies and enhance their operational efficiencies, according to Dallas-based full-service M&A advisory firm Generational Group. QSI was Generational’s client.

Offering ‘national reach and industry expertise’

For more than three decades, QSI has served California’s Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Santa Clarita counties.

“We’re excited to join the Accredited Labs family of calibration companies,” Fernando Perez, president and CEO of Quality Surveillance Inc., said in a statement. “Their vision of offering national reach and industry expertise while maintaining local presence and customer relationships is the type of business model that we have been aspiring to be for many decades—and now we are here.”

Lori Galloway, Generational Group executive managing director of M&A-Western Region, and her team, led by Fred Zweifel, Senior Managing Director, M&A, closed the deal. Senior Managing Director Ashok Tandon and Senior M&A Advisor Ken Beckrich established the initial relationship with QSI, Generational Group said.

Accredited Labs holds ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and specializes in delivering customized calibration solutions for industries such as aerospace, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.
