A Dallas-based agriculture and technology manufacturer is registering entries for a college and university team-based competition to invent or create an intelligent food production system using aquaponics, according to a report in LaunchDFW.
Nectar Agriculture said that registration closes on May 22, with a wild-card registration period running from June 5 to June 19, LaunchDFW said.
Aquaponics is the marriage of aquaculture — the raising of fish — with raising plants hydroponically.
