Clarus’ TherMobile Boards Have a Shield and Cutout to Protect Employees During COVID-19 Pandemic

Fort Worth-based Clarus will equip top biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca with its glassboards to add an extra layer of protection for employer and employee during the health screening process.

Fort Worth-based Clarus, widely known as an industry leader in glassboard innovations, has announced an integration with a top pharmaceutical company that could help keep people safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clarus is the creator of TherMobile, a non-porous mobile board that can double as a protective shield during health screenings. In teaming up with AstraZeneca, a global biopharmaceutical company based in the U.K., Clarus is able to support one of the top five pharmaceutical companies in the world.

“We initially developed TherMobile as a way to keep our own employees safe while implementing employee temperature screening at our facility,” Clarus CEO Marc Mansell said in a statement. “We quickly realized that many other companies were facing the same challenge, and we knew that we had to find a way to bring this innovative product to market quickly.”

AstraZeneca will be the first corporation—other than Clarus—to get the TherMobile glassboards. The pharma company operates in more than 100 countries, and focuses on the discovery, development, and commercialization of prescription medicines.

Clarus’ product will be in AstraZeneca’s locations nationwide to protect essential healthcare workers. TherMobile is essentially a “first line of defense” against the coronavirus.

There’s a small cut-out window for companies to take the temperature of incoming employees or handout necessary documents. The safe shield around it is easily cleanable, and the glass has natural properties that protects both sides during health screenings, according to Clarus. There’s also a four-wheel base that allows employers to move TherMobile to any location to safely take temperatures anywhere.

The Fort Worth company was founded in 2009 and has since grown into a pioneer of premium visual communication and collaboration systems. We first told you about Clarus leading the charge to encourage glassboard use in businesses, agencies, and educational institutions back in 2017.

Clarus took the “writing on glass” concept, and packaged it into customizable sizes and colors for all types of clients. It produces and manufactures the boards in Fort Worth.
