On Nov. 15, the city of Dallas Sanitation Services Department Zero Waste Team will be launching its new program designed to recognize businesses that prevent waste and promote sustainability.
The Green Business Certification Program is an effort to help businesses attract more environmentally conscious customers and network with other green certified businesses, according to the city.
Certification will last for three years with an additional evaluation during the second year. A decal and certificate will be provided for companies to display their recognition in the program. Applications will be available on the city’s website.
