Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki are each lending a hand to a Dallas-based nonprofit—literally. The newly launched My Hand My Cause has a mission of capturing fine art photos of "the most famous hands in sport, music, movies, art, medicine, science, and more" and selling them to help fund charities and foundations worldwide.

Ken Hersh To Receive World Affairs Council Award for Advancing North Texas’ International Profile

Kenneth Hersh, president and CEO of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and a renowned investor and philanthropist, will be honored with the 2023 H. Neil Mallon Award from the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.

The announcement comes on the heels of the publication of Hersh's recently released book, "The Fastest Tortoise: Winning in Industries I Knew Nothing About," which offers readers a glimpse into the life lessons that have influenced his success, from co-founding a private equity investment firm to managing his family investment office.

Dallas Police Dept. Puts Use-of-Force Data on Interactive Public Dashboards
The interactive dashboards include data on the day, time, and location of Dallas police use-of-force incidents; subject characteristics and crimes charged; and use-of-force tactics, restraints, and injury rates. Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia brought the use-of-force data program with him from San Jose, California, where he served as police chief from 2016 to 2021.
