The deal will act as a major benefit to government technology users, as it represents two complementary public sector companies coming together. NIC is a digital government solutions and payments company and Tyler is the largest provider of integrated software and tech services to local, state, and federal governments.

As more state, local, and federal government agencies move to a cloud-based environment, which has only accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic, Tyler's new team will help create a roadmap toward a public cloud infrastructure.
